We love our touring public, however as a working farm you may find that our cellar door can also be closed from time to time.
From May 2026 until mid August 2026 our cellar door will be closed for tasting and our bookings for tours, experiences (such as “Cider and Shadows”) with cease for the period due to building works on the property. If you are a visiting cider maker wishing to visit us during this period, please contact us via email for other arrangements.
Some things you need to know before you visit:
What is a working farm? As a small venue, we try our best to be family friendly however we are busy with the growing of fruit and grapes in our orchard and vineyard.
All children must be supervised, care and attention must be taken at all times. Sometimes there is machinery around, live animals (yes this includes, sheep, farm dogs and wildlife including ants, reptiles, bees and birds) and trip hazards especially when our wildlife who we can’t control like digging holes! We ask that you respect our beautiful wildlife and the spectacular environment and do not approach wildlife or reptiles as they could bite.
All minors must be under direct adult supervision at all times. If you are after a truly family friendly venue or somewhere to entertain your younger family members there are plenty nearby including mini-golf and playgrounds at Tamar Valley Resort 1km away.
Cider Mill Tour & Tasting

Join our cidermakers as they personally guide you around their cider mill, nestled on their Tamar Valley farm, The Dales. Here, you’ll explore the people, produce and place behind Brady’s Lookout Cider.
Cidermakers Chris and Caro Brown will take you on a journey that showcases the heritage apples and Méthode Traditionelle techniques used in the creation of our ciders. This journey will continue through to your tastebuds as you enjoy a tasting of our current range of ciders.
In hearing their story, you’ll also discover how the Browns have placed a big focus on conserving the land and capturing the region’s history through the provenance of place.

Savour our cider with local cheese, connecting to nature's unseen world. Embrace the dark, witness the wild, and ponder our changing landscape.

Visit us at our cider mill, enjoy the amazing space we’ve created, and explore our range of Méthode Traditionelle ciders and small-batch wine with our very own cidermakers.
Please note, we’re a working farm so we’re often toiling in the orchard, or we’ll be down at Harvest Market Launceston.
Cider Mill Opening Hours:
- Monday – Friday: CLOSED
- Saturday: CLOSED*. Pop in and see us at Harvest Market Launceston (8:30am – 12:30pm)
- Sunday: 11am – 4pm**We run seasonal opening hours. Sometimes we’re closed due to private function or will open our cellar door after Harvest Market on Saturdays. Head to our Facebook page for recent updates to our cider mill opening hours.
