An update on our wild journey

Our Eastern Barred Bandicoot Conservation Project

We’ve had great success implementing the next phase of our Eastern Barred Bandicoot conservation project. This project has been in collaboration with NRM North, Tasmanian Land Conservancy, University of Tasmania, and West Tamar Landcare Inc as a part of the National Landcare Program.

On January 13th 2021, we released Eastern Barred Bandicoot joeys on our farm, The Dales, where we hope that they will thrive in the habitat that we carefully cultivated with the Rotary Club of Tamar Sunrise in 2020.

Successfully released by wildlife volunteer Lyndsey Sumpton, it was a great community volunteer project, showcased with the Honourable Sussan Ley MP (Minister for the Environment), Bridget Archer MP (Liberal Member for Bass) and Senator Wendy Askew in attendance.
